This meeting provides an optimal atmosphere for discussion and knowledge exchange between young scientists of the LiSyM network. Therefore, we expect you all to attend and present abstract of your work.

In addition, non-LiSyM members who are interested to join the meeting are also welcome.

The conference theme "The learning healthcare system" invites you to discuss the combined approach of methods specialties as a motor of research and of the exchange between research and practice in medicine and health care. The variety of topics reflects the width and inter-disciplinarity of the GMDS.

The overarching integrating power of computational modelling, from systems biology to systems medicine

Objectives

The objective of the 3rd DMCM is to consolidate efforts around the disease map projects and extend the Disease Maps Community. The 3rd DMCM will expose progress of the projects from the Disease Maps Community and beyond. The representative examples of network maps generation, their applications for disease data analysis, disease comorbidity, drug response prediction, advances in tools development and modelling approaches will be presented.

The systems biology of microbial infection aims to understand the interaction between hosts and pathogens by the integrative combination of experiment and theory. The focus of this symposium is on the interaction between the immune systems of humans or animals and bacterial or fungal pathogens.
